It was necessary.

The countless legions of Mordor we killed. Not just orcs. Men, however evilly twisted they had become.

Gondor was the front line. Had Gondor fallen, would even the elf havens be spared?

We set out, nine, willing to give our lives, expecting to die.

Only I still live, for they turned against me.

The Elves could have left in peace. That was their intention. They were never of this world. Galadriel chose to die.

Faramir betrayed me. Father would have understood the need.

All it took was the breaking of one hobbit’s neck to save the world.
